Annette Funicello's dancer was discovered on the streets of Fullerton California by Walt Disney when she was just 13 years old. Her Mickey Mouse Club teammates were in a state of dismay after Funicello became part of the cast in the first season of the series, and not having to audition. Disney had the right idea to take this decision, as Funicello soon became the major character of The Mickey Mouse Club. She also had her own story of adventure, Adventures in Dairyland. Funicello had to record records as she wanted to reach her full potential as a teenager. Annette didn't like her vocals, however Disney hired Tutti Kamerata to help her build an impressive career in the recording industry. Funicello was a fan of recording albums and worked alongside Camerata who was among the most arranging experts of the time, and who understood the foundations of early music.
