Bella Poarch's grandmother lived within the slums of Manila up to the time she reached three. The adoptive parents are American white man with a military background and her mother is Filipino. She claims she, her adopted brother and their mother were abused when they were children, until she joined the military. Her family travelled across the country to San Francisco for a few months, where they lived with their aunt before moving to Texas in the year thirteen due to her father's requirement to undergo bypass surgery. Her zoomed-in clip of rhythmically jumping and lip-syncing to the tune made the rounds and was one of the top TikTok video clips of all time. She started her YouTube as well as Twitter accounts within the month after her the joining of TikTok to benefit from her growing fame. Poarch's fame reached its peak in December of 2020.
